About the role

Due to a period of sustained growth in the business, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our established team in Albury, NSW.

Software Engineers are expected to liaise with the Senior Software Engineer to design and develop software, firmware and any electronic engineering tasks where required.  You may be required to travel to customers for implementations, consultations or training.

This is a full-time permanent role which reports into the Senior Software Engineer.  This is an on-site role based in our Albury office.

Key duties

  • Development of software for advanced target Range Management Systems;
  • Incorporation of military hardware into Range Management Systems;
  • Provide estimates for software tasks assigned, Development of requirement specifications;
  • Interact with the customer during software installations and testing; and,
  • Participate as an active member in the ATS software development and extended team.

About you

The successful applicant must hold an Australian citizenship, with the ability to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance and Defence Common Access Pass.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant subject such as computer science, software engineering, or electronics.

Experience

  • Proven work experience in software engineering; and.
  • Proven experience with a range of software engineering tasks including, design, implementation, testing, installation, customer support, configuration management and documentation.

Knowledge

  • Software design;
  • Software debugging
  • Software documentation;
  • Software testing; and,
  • Ability to develop software in C, C++, C#, JavaScript or other selected languages.

ATS has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer (6 Month, Fixed Term Contract, 5 days per week) to join the team at our Albury office.  ATS are willing to consider 4 days per week for the right candidate with a positive, can-do attitude.

The Accounts Payable Officer has a reporting line to the Commercial Manager.   This position has the responsibility for providing the Accounts Payable function and being the face of the business upon arrival to ATS.  This position will also provide administrative support to the General Manager.   Other responsibilities for this position will include maintaining accurate business records, registers, coordinating travel bookings, fleet management and corporate services inventory management.

To be considered for the position, you will be required to possess and demonstrate competency in the below.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ Accounts Payable experience and Reception/Front of house experience.
  • A professional attitude and the ability to work within a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Post-secondary qualification in Business Administration/Finance preferably at Cert IV at a minimum.
  • Experience in Odoo ERP will advantageous but not essential.
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, with high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and integrity.
  • Proficient computer, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

Majura Range Upgrade – ATS 2021

Majura Training Area’s, Marksman Training Range was first commissioned by ATS in 1987 as the Super DART range. The Super DART was the first of its kind in the world with a Projectile Locating System that provided the firer immediate feedback to their fall of shot.  Since 1987, the MTR has undergone several technical upgrades by ATS with its most recent in 2021 and has been a critical element in training the future leaders of the ADF for over 30 years. 

The Majura MTR is the most recent incarnation of ATS commitment to the men and women of the ADF.
