Compound Clearance - AfghanistanOur commitment to the marksman has been continually proven. Our team was originally responsible for the design and development of the Counter Terrorism indoor and outdoor target systems for the Special Air Service Regiment Special Range Complex in Swanbourne, Western Australia, in the 1980’s. ATS was then responsible for the Counter Terrorism target systems for the 2nd Commando Regiment in Holsworthy during the mid 2000’s. Both of these facilities are still considered world’s best practice and have formed the benchmark for urban live fire training facilities. ATS has continually maintained and enhanced these target systems over the years using a collaborative approach between our engineers and Counter Terrorism experts of the Australian Special Forces and the Police Tactical Response Teams.Compound Clearance - Afghanistan

Under the Australian Army’s Enhanced Land Force (ELF) and Hardened Networked Army (HNA) Projects over the last decade, ATS has worked intimately with the Australian Defence Force to deliver some of the world’s best Marksmanship Training Ranges (MTR) and Combined Arms Ranges (CAR) for an Army that has been constantly deployed on operations since 1999. This has involved designing and installing target systems for new ranges and the technical refresh of target systems for existing ranges. Concurrently, ATS also provided the state of the art Multi Purpose Infantry Target System (MPITS) that allows soldiers to train within any chosen operating environment. All target systems are designed to operate regardless of environmental conditions, day and night.
