Albury’s James Fallon High School Year 9 student Nathan Tickell was recently welcomed into ATS to complete a workplace shadow day.  Shadow Day is part of a program called Big Picture Education and it was through this initiative that ATS was proud to be able to give Nathan firsthand experience working in a company that designs, builds and fields many technologically advanced systems and demonstrated how industry sustains and maintains these advanced capabilities. Newtec Pistol Club to Reopen

The Newtec Pistol Club has been given approval this month by the NSW Firearms Registry to reopen their range complex after an extended closure period. ATS was pleased to be given the chance to assist the Newtec Pistol Club with expert advice and mentoring in range design, Range Danger Area templating and most importantly safety for the club members and public.

ADFA Leadership Challenge

ATS Live Fire Range Training Coordinator Andrew Underwood, advised staff conducting the 1st Year ADFA Officer Cadets Leadership Challenge 1 (LC1) about the recent upgrades to the MTR in Majura.   Andrew facilitated several concurrent training activities such as correct service-before-firing procedure, revision on Marksmanship Principles, shooting from standard and non-standard firing positions, dry-fire techniques, and a bit of coaching at the Firing Point.

The Sporting Shooters Pistol Club, Act, hosted the Action Match National Championships in Canberra during the weekend. ATS was once again pleased to sponsor this event. The National Championships attracts competitors from all over Australia.  ATS sponsored shooter Mark and Cherie Blake performed well with Mark winning the Open Class, Metallic Class and the overall Top Gun Trophy. Congratulations Mark Blake from the ATS Team on a great result.
